How to Install Pcmscan?




To install Pcmscan, you need to have a compatible OBD-II hardware interface and a Windows PC. You also need to have a license key for Pcmscan, which you can purchase from the official website or from other sources. Here are the steps to install Pcmscan:


  • Download the latest version of Pcmscan from here. The file size is about 18 MB.



  • Run the setup file and follow the instructions to install Pcmscan on your PC. You can choose the destination folder and the start menu folder for the software.



  • After the installation is complete, launch Pcmscan from your desktop or start menu. You will be asked to enter your name, company name and license key. You can find your license key in your email or on your invoice if you purchased it online. If you don't have a license key, you can use the trial version for 20 minutes per session.



  • Enter your license key and click on Register. You will see a message that says "1 keys registered". Click on Continue.



  • Pcmscan is now installed and activated on your PC.



How to Use Pcmscan?




To use Pcmscan, you need to connect your OBD-II hardware interface to your vehicle's OBD-II port and to your PC via USB or Bluetooth. You also need to turn on the ignition of your vehicle. Here are the steps to use Pcmscan:


  • Launch Pcmscan from your desktop or start menu. You will see the main window of the software.



  • Select the OBD-II interface type from the drop-down menu at the top left corner of the window. For example, if you are using an ELM327 interface, select "ELM".



  • Select the COM port that corresponds to your OBD-II interface from the drop-down menu next to the interface type. For example, if your interface is connected to COM3, select "COM3".



  • Click on the Connect button at the top right corner of the window. You will see a message that says "Connecting..." and then "Connected".



  • Pcmscan will automatically detect the protocol and vehicle information of your vehicle. You will see the protocol name, VIN number, calibration ID and other information at the bottom of the window.



  • You can now access various features of Pcmscan from the menu bar at the top of the window. For example, you can click on DTCs to view and clear trouble codes, click on Data Grid to view real-time data in a table format, click on Gauges to view real-time data in a gauge format, click on Graphs to view real-time data in a graph format, click on Tests to perform various tests such as oxygen sensor test or monitor test, etc.
