Sponsors are from Mars, Investors are from Venus: How to Survive Due Diligence
June 8, 2021
Lecture Details:
Lance Pederson, Founder and Managing Partner of Verivest: "Like in any kind of relationship, there are two parties involved. When it comes to real estate syndications or funds, you have an LP and a GP. Before an LP decides to wire their hard-earned funds into a GP’s deal, they chart a path that we affectionately refer to as “DD” or Due Diligence."
During this talk, Lance will flip back and forth between how this process impacts both sides of the table and what’s going on inside the minds of both parties along the way. The objective is to avoid what Lance refers to as a “Shakespearean Tragedy” where miscommunication and misunderstanding may cause an unfortunate outcome.
Verivest, Lance's company, is an end-to-end real estate investment platform designed to bring transparency to middle-market investing.
